If you suspect your child has a fracture, visit our Urgent Care Center to ensure they are evaluated and treated by a doctor who specializes in children’s bones. To determine if your child has a fractured hip, our specialists will start with a physical exam, ask how your child got hurt and discuss your child’s medical history. In addition, your doctor will request an x-ray and may request an MRI or CT/CAT scan.
The goal of treatment for a hip fracture is to make your child as comfortable as possible and to restore the normal structure of the fractured area so that your child can return to an active lifestyle and grow normally.
