International Children's Program

Enabling Children Living Outside the US to Receive High-Quality Care

LuskinOIC founded the International Children’s Program (ICP) for one vital reason: to enable children living outside the U.S. to receive high-quality orthopaedic care, regardless of their family’s financial situation.

With our donors and volunteers, we transform the lives of children around the world by treating conditions like cerebral palsy, scoliosis, hip disorders, missing or deformed bones, clubfoot, congenital hand disorders, and limb length discrepancy.

Regularly Serving the Calexico and Mexicali Communities

We travel to the Border Clinic in Calexico and to the Hospital General de Mexicali several times each year for clinic days. On these dates, doctors and staff provide initial screenings and evaluations. Patients who need surgical care will receive treatment at the DTLA Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) and UCLA Medical Center - Santa Monica.

The International Children’s Program covers all aspects of a child’s care, including all physician consultations, X-rays, lab tests, CT and MRI scans, surgeries, hospital stays, travel, food, and lodging.

History Of LuskinOIC's International Children's Program

2020

While the Covid-19 pandemic proved an unprecedented challenge for healthcare systems worldwide, our ICP patients and their families were singularly affected by the global crisis, as many of them gained access to Covid tests, vaccines, and other resources much later than people in the US.
