Bio

Chris Caron is the head of the therapy department at Luskin Orthopaedic Institute for Children (LuskinOIC) and a dedicated physical therapist with 31 years of experience. She earned her physical therapy degree from California State University, Northridge, in 1994 and later obtained a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine, where she also achieved board certification as a Pediatric Certified Specialist.

Chris has worked in various settings, including adult outpatient, skilled nursing, and acute care. However, for the past 26 years, she has focused her career on pediatric orthopedics and neurology, excelling as both a clinician and administrator. She has presented at national conferences on Arthrogryposis and Osteogenesis Imperfecta, participated in local consortiums on sports medicine rehabilitation and cerebral palsy, and led seminars in Mexico to educate physical therapists on treating children with cerebral palsy. A passionate advocate for clinical education, she has served as a Clinical Instructor for students from USC, St. Augustine, Mount St. Mary’s, Western University, and CSUN.

Since joining LuskinOIC in early 2019, Chris has worked to expand therapy services, enhance education and mentorship programs, and strengthen therapy’s role in research. She has been instrumental in the strategic planning of the Rehabilitation Center, establishing clinical education at LuskinOIC and broadening the program to include Occupational Therapy alongside Physical Therapy. Under her leadership, a team of dedicated therapists continues to advance patient care, professional development, and LuskinOIC’s mission.
